Acceptance of These Terms

ClimberBase is operated by Atelier Elyes, a company registered in Denmark under CVR no. 46635825 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use ClimberBase. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

Who Can Use ClimberBase

You must be at least 16 years old to use ClimberBase. You confirm this by entering your age when creating a profile, and by using the app you confirm that the information you provide about yourself — including your age — is accurate.

What ClimberBase Does

ClimberBase helps climbers in Copenhagen find partners through session-based matching. You can browse and share climbing sessions, join others, and chat with participants. ClimberBase is a tool for connecting people — we do not organise climbing sessions, employ or supervise any climbers, or guarantee that a session or partner will be available.

Your Account

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code — there is no password to manage. Keep access to your email secure, as anyone who receives your code can sign in. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account. Your profile includes a display name, a photo, your age group, and optionally your gender.

Climbing Is at Your Own Risk

Climbing is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. ClimberBase does not vet, verify, or endorse any user, and does not supervise, inspect, or take part in any session arranged through the app.

• Assess your partners yourself. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to climb with someone you meet through ClimberBase.
• Know your limits. Climb within your ability, follow the rules of your gym, and use proper safety technique and equipment.
• We are not liable for injuries. Any session you take part in is entirely your own responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClimberBase is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app or from meeting other users.

Acceptable Use

To keep ClimberBase safe and welcoming, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or discriminate against other users.
• Post false, misleading, offensive, or unlawful content.
• Upload photos or messages you do not have the right to share, or that show someone else without their consent.
• Use ClimberBase for commercial solicitation, spam, or any purpose other than finding climbing partners.
• Attempt to disrupt, abuse, or gain unauthorised access to the app or other users' accounts.

You can report or block another user from within the app if they make you uncomfortable.

Your Content

You keep ownership of the profile photos and messages you add to ClimberBase. By posting them, you grant us permission to store and display that content within the app so it works as intended — for example, showing your photo to session participants. You are responsible for the content you share, and it must comply with these terms.

Donations and the Brew Crew Badge

ClimberBase is free to use. The app offers one optional in-app purchase, “Buy me a coffee”: a one-time donation that supports the app's independent development. It is not a subscription and does not renew. The price is shown in the store before you buy.

• What you get. In return, a cosmetic Brew Crew badge is shown under your name on your profile. The badge unlocks no features, content, priority, or ranking of any kind, and the app is fully usable without it. It says nothing about how anyone climbs or behaves as a partner.
• Payment and refunds. The purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us, under their terms. Refund requests go to the store you bought through, and we do not issue refunds ourselves. If a purchase is refunded, the badge is removed.
• Restoring. If you reinstall the app or change phones, use Restore purchases on the donation sheet, signed in with the same store account, to get the badge back. Restoring moves the badge to the account you are signed in to.
• Account deletion. Deleting your ClimberBase account removes the badge and the purchase record we hold, as described in our Privacy Policy. It does not refund the donation.

Your consumer rights under mandatory law, including any statutory right of withdrawal, are not affected by this section.

Suspension and Termination

You can stop using ClimberBase and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk, and we may do so without notice where necessary to protect the community.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

ClimberBase is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any match will lead to a session. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for anything arising out of your interactions with other users.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts. Nothing here removes any consumer rights you have under mandatory local law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continuing to use ClimberBase means you accept the revised terms.
