  • IP address — collected temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Basic analytics — page views and referrer data via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, privacy-focused).

Why We Collect It

  • Email address: to notify you when ClimberBase launches (legal basis: your consent).
  • IP address: to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits (legal basis: legitimate interest).
  • Analytics: to understand how visitors use the site and improve it (legal basis: legitimate interest).

How Long We Keep It

  • Email address: kept until ClimberBase launches or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.
  • IP address: automatically deleted after 24 hours.
  • Analytics: aggregated by Cloudflare; no personal data is retained by us.

Third-Party Processors

  • Supabase — hosts our database in the EU (Ireland, eu-west-1). Supabase processes data under a Data Processing Agreement.
  • Cloudflare — provides analytics and hosting. Cloudflare processes data globally under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Their Web Analytics product is cookieless and does not track individual users.

Cookies

ClimberBase does not set any cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not use cookies or track individual visitors.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Delete your personal data.
  • Export your personal data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (for email collection).
